The BENSELER GmbH & Co. KG is a family enterprise with headquarters in Markgröningen , Baden-Wurttemberg. The BENSELER group of companies consists of the two business areas Coatings and Deburring, and in 2018 it also entered additive manufacturing in the metal sector. The company coats, paints, deburrs or cleans plastic and metal surfaces for the automotive industry and other sectors.

history

The company was founded by Manfred Benseler in Markgröningen-Talhausen in 1961 and moved to Markgröningen in 1978. In 1983 Manfred Werner (until 2008) joined the company as managing partner, in 2003 his daughter Birgit Werner-Walz too. In 2008 Manfred Werner left the management and the company shares were transferred to the next generation. In 2016 the group of companies expanded its management to include Mathias Mühleisen and Thomas Müller.

Locations

While at the beginning the main business in Markgröningen was in the areas of coating and deburring , today the focus there is mainly on the coating of fasteners and components for the automotive industry with zinc flake coatings . Benseler is one of the pioneers in Germany for this technology.

With the opening of the plant in Marbach am Neckar in 1990, the thermal deburring area was relocated there. In addition, systems for electrochemical removal and high-pressure water jet deburring are also housed there today . This Benseler location is also known for industrial parts cleaning .

Techno Color Surface Finishing , a coater of plastic parts for the motorcycle and automotive industries, has been part of the group of companies in Bogen in Lower Bavaria since 1993 . On September 1, 2012, the company was renamed Benseler Beschichtung Bayern GmbH & Co. KG .

In Frankenberg (Saxony) , a system for powder coating , systems for wet painting , for cathodic dip painting and in 2001 for deburring has been built for Benseler Beschierungen Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG and Benseler Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG .

In 2004 Benseler built a production facility for cathodic dip painting and electrostatic powder coating in Kornwestheim .

In 2006 the deburring system in Hattingen was added. Benseler also has holdings in Thörigen ( Switzerland ) and Werdohl .

Awards

In 2001 the Benseler Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG (then OZF Surface Coating Center GmbH & Co. KG) was awarded the "Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Enterprises" by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation .
