Bentley is a small town in Alberta , Canada . It was named after George Bentley, a first settler. Bentley has an elementary school, a high school, and a church kindergarten.
history
The first settlers came from the United States in 1888 . From Lacombe , where the nearest train station was, they reached the settlement. In 1890 she received her first church, in 1903 her first school. Bentley was recognized as a village three years later. In 1916 there was a big fire in Bentley that destroyed the southern part of the village. In 2003 the village became a city.
