Beorn Nijenhuis (born April 2, 1984 in Rocky Mountain House , Alberta , Canada ) is a Dutch speed skater .

At the age of 13 he moved from Canada, where he started speed skating, to the Netherlands. A year later he received his Dutch citizenship and a short time later he began to compete for the Netherlands.

He is an excellent 1000 meter and 1500 meter runner . In the overall World Cup 2004/2005 he came second over 1000 meters and third over 1500 meters. At the individual distance world championships in 2005 in Inzell , he was third over 1500 meters.

At his first Olympic Games in Turin in 2006 , he was unable to match the previous year's performance and so he finished 35th over 500 meters and 12th over 1000 meters.
