Lists on the subject

The Beretta U22 Neos pistol from the Italian Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta SpA is a semi - automatic self - loading pistol in caliber .22 lfB introduced in 2002 . It is only available from Beretta USA Corp. manufactured. The barrel is offered in 114 mm (4.5 inches), 152 mm (6 inches), and 190 mm (7.5 inches). A telescopic sight can be attached to the slide above the barrel.

The design of the U22 Neos is futuristic. Like many novel pistol designs, it consists of a few parts. The barrel can be removed by turning a screw on the breech block. The handle is held together with the locking piece by an elongated screw. The serial number of the weapon is on the breech block. The magazine is unusually ejected on the right side of the weapon above the trigger with the actuation of the index finger. Instead of a button, a lever serves as a safety device.

Carabiner kit

Since 2004, Beretta has been offering a carabiner kit that consists of 2 parts: a skeletal shoulder rest and a 413 mm (16.25 inch) barrel. With the supplied wrench, the U22 Neos can be converted into a carabiner by the owner within 2 minutes.

Recall campaign

On September 15, 2010, Beretta USA Corp. announced that the Beretta U22 Neos may fire if the status is secured. It is even possible to trigger a shot if the safety lever is pushed from "On" to "Off". Beretta offered a free repair of the affected pistols and made a PDF available on its website with images showing which models of the U22 Neos are affected. Despite this lack of safety on the U22 Neos, there were no known accidents. Only models of the U22 Neos that were built before September 2010 showed this error.
