The Bergnunatak West is a flat nunatak on the Oates coast of East Antarctica , of which only the three peaks protrude from the ice. It is located 12 kilometers west-northwest of the Berg Mountains .
Like them, it is named after the Soviet geographer Lev Semjonowitsch Berg . The German State Committee for the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) and for the International Arctic Science Committee (ISAC) accepted the name proposed by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) on 17/18. June 1999.
