Bergstüb'l Joseph Cross
The Bergstüb'l Josephskreuz is a listed inn on the Großer Auerberg in the municipality of Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the Josephshöhe of the Großer Auerberg immediately to the west at the foot of the Josephskreuz .
Architecture and history
The single-storey plastered inn was built in 1834 together with the construction of a wooden predecessor building for the Joseph Cross as an excursion restaurant. The design of the restaurant is said to have been done by Karl Friedrich Schinkel . The building is designed in a simple classical style with a large central pavilion. At the rear of the house, below the building, there is a half-timbered sanitary building .
The building was operated as a restaurant Josephshöhe , currently (as of 2017) it is run as an excursion restaurant Bergstüb'l Josephskreuz. The restaurant offers 55 seats, the beer garden another 90.
In the local register of monuments , the restaurant has been listed as an architectural monument since November 7, 1996 under registration number 094 83938 . The restaurant is considered to be culturally, artistically and historically significant.
