Rescue clearing device
The salvage clearing device (abbreviation: BrmG ) is a wheel loader of the Technical Relief Organization (THW), which in this special version is also used by the Bundeswehr and was previously (BRmGer abbreviated) used in salvage train 50 of the salvage service . It is used by the clearing department as a recovery device for removing rubble and debris , for moving large amounts of earth or for pulling apart embers .
The rescue clearing device can be converted into an all -terrain forklift with a few simple steps by removing the shovel ( quick-change device ) and attaching forks . The forks can be used, for example, to remove vehicles that have been crushed by falling trees or to load sawed tree trunks, but in particular supplies stacked on transport pallets can be handled on unsecured ground.
There is an additional device for digging work with which the wheel loader can be converted into a hydraulic excavator . This makes digging deeper possible.
In contrast to a pure wheel loader (which could be equipped with forks), the rescue clearing device is equipped with a larger driver's cab , which makes it possible to take a passenger with you. Furthermore, the rescue clearing device is approved for road traffic and can drive independently to operations at a speed of 40 km / h. Since long distances often have to be covered, most local chapters use a low-loader to transport it.
