Berlin Leuchtet has been an annual light festival in Berlin since 2013 . Berlin's streets, buildings, landmarks and important squares will be staged on 17 days at the festival by national and international artists, designers and lighting designers with artistic light productions such as illuminations, projections, video mapping , video art and light art installations.

Start of the action and organizer

The first Berlin Leuchtet Festival took place in 2013 in the inner city area ( Mitte district ). Some initiators are also involved in the Festival of Lights , which has also been taking place in Berlin since 2005.

The festival is directed by the Berlin Leuchtet eV association of the same name , an association of companies, associations, institutions, media partners and individuals. The outlying districts of Berlin are also increasingly taking part in this festival, organized by the district administrations.
