Berlin flies!

Berlin flies! is an international athletics meeting held in Berlin . It was carried out for the first time in 2011 and has the form of an international competition . The event marks the end of the season for the athletes. In 2019 the event took place in June.

The competition venue was right in front of the Brandenburg Gate from 2011 to 2017 , at the Berlin TV tower in 2018 and at Tempelhof Airport in 2019 .

Attendees

In the first years from 2011 to 2015 the event was held as an international match between Germany , France , Russia and the USA . In 2016, Germany, France, Great Britain , Italy and Spain took part. In 2017 the starting field consisted of six nations, as the USA joined last year's starters. In 2018 Germany, France, Great Britain and the USA met. In 2019, China met Germany, Great Britain and the USA for the first time .

One athlete per country starts in each discipline and collects points for the team classification. There is no individual evaluation.
