The magazine Berliner Geschichte - Zeitschrift für Geschichte und Kultur ( BeGe for short ) was first published in 2015 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Association for the History of Berlin . Since then, the publication has been designed, created and distributed in cooperation with Elsengold Verlag . All members of the association receive the 4 issues per year as part of their membership, and the magazine can also be obtained from book and magazine dealers. Each issue deals with a topic, a period or a personality in several essays.
So far, numerous renowned historians such as Wolfgang Ribbe , Helmut Börsch-Supan , Laurenz Demps , Matthias Wemhoff , Rüdiger vom Bruch and other well-known personalities such as Manfred Stolpe and Klaus Finkelnburg have been won as authors for the picture-rich magazine .
Originally, the history of Berlin was supposed to gradually replace the traditional communications of the Association for the History of Berlin , but both publications will continue to be produced in parallel.
