Bernard Lafont

Bernard Lafont (* 1947) is a French military doctor with the rank of Médecin Général des Armées (MGA) and, since October 2005, Directeur Central du Service de Santé des Armées , i.e. the inspector of the medical service of the French armed forces.

Career

Lafont studied from 1965 to 1973, the Ecole du service de santé des armées de Lyon-Bron and was subsequently regimental surgeon during one he  Régiment de Chasseurs parachutistes in Pau and in 8 after e  Régiment de Transmissions in Suresnes . As a specialist in psychiatry , he was deputy chief physician of the Hopital des Armées Sedillot in Nacy and later of the HIA Val-de-Grâce . After completing his habilitation in 1986, he initially took over the management of the Hopital d'instruction des Armées Robert Picqué in Bordeaux . Before his appointment as inspector in October 2005, he was deputy inspector for the Direction Centrale du Service de Santé des Armées for the French military hospitals.

Among other things, Lafont is a member of the Advisory Board of the Medical Corps International Forum .
