She entered the Congregation of the Holy Cross on February 20, 1944 and took the religious name María Bernarda and worked temporarily as a home economics teacher. In 1986 and 1987 Seitz lived in Germany and Switzerland to get to know their roots and to perfect their cooking skills.

From 2002 onwards, at the suggestion of a course participant, Seitz appeared on Elgourmet.com for several years with the cooking program Dulces Tentaciones (“Sweet Temptations”), followed by Saladas Tentaciones (“Salty Temptations”). This format was later adopted by América 2 . In the programs that were recorded in the monastery kitchen, she combined practical recipes and instructions with teaching philosophical and religious questions. In addition, she was invited to various programs. At the same time, her books hit the Argentine bestseller lists.
