Bernardo De Dominici
Bernardo De Dominici (born December 13, 1683 in Naples , † April 30, 1759 ) was an Italian painter and art historian.
De Dominici was the son of the painter Raimondo De Dominici . He became known as a landscape painter and was later in the service of Aurora Sanseverino , the Duchess of Laurenzano. Following on from works such as Giorgio Vasaris Le Vite (1550) and Giovanni Pietro Belloris Vite de 'pittori, scultori ed architetti moderni (1672), he began in 1727 with work on his Vite dei Pittori, Scultori, ed Architetti Napolitani , which between 1742 and 1745 appeared in three volumes.
