Architecture and history

The four-storey building was built in 1883 by master mason Gustav Lösche for the client Friedrich Bohlecke. The facade of the plastered brick building has seven axes in the Neo-Renaissance style. The ground floor is rusticated . The parapets of the first floor are decorated with scrollwork cartouches and laurel. The window openings on the first floor are crowned by canopies in the form of segmental arches, and on the second by triangular gables.

The building is covered by a gable roof . In 1886 the house received wooden roof structures.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 15970 .

The building is seen as defining the street scene. After extensive demolition of older, ailing buildings at the end of the 20th / beginning of the 21st century, the building is the last remnant of the historical development and an example of a Wilhelminian style apartment building in the industrial town of Buckau.
