Bernd-Erwin Schramm (born August 16, 1948 in Finsterwalde ) is a German politician (non-party). Schramm was Lord Mayor of the large district town of Freiberg from 2008 to 2015 .

Life

From 1955 to 1967 Schramm attended school and completed an apprenticeship in Finsterwalde and Doberlug-Kirchhain . In 1967 he graduated from high school and became a mechanical engineer. Then he did the 18-month military service with the NVA . From 1969 to 1973 Schramm studied economic cybernetics, data processing and business administration at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg and graduated as Dipl.-Ing. oec. from. From 1973 to 1990 Schramm worked as an employee and group leader in the VEB Bergbau- und Hüttenkombinat Freiberg and from 1990 to 1993 as a member of the board for personnel and finances of Saxonia AG - metalworks and processing plants. From 1993 to 1997 Schramm was branch director Freiberg at Dresdner Bank AG and from 1997 to 2008 he was a deputy member of the board and department director at Kreissparkasse Freiberg. He is chairman of the board of trustees of the Saxonia Freiberg Foundation.

Bernd-Erwin Schramm has been married to Gabriele Schramm since 1973. The two have two sons together and live in Oberschöna in the Wegefarth district .

Political party

Schramm became a member of the LDPD in 1970 and has been a member of the FDP since 1990 . In 1994 Schramm left the FDP and has been non-party ever since.

Public offices

From 1974 to 1994 Schramm was a city councilor in Freiberg with a mandate from the LDPD and the FDP . During this time, he chaired the Finance Committee.

In the district election on June 8, 2008, Schramm succeeded in gaining a seat in the district assembly of the Central Saxony district with the Freiberg can do more voter initiative he founded on the occasion of the mayoral election.

Schramm was elected Lord Mayor of the major district town of Freiberg in the Mayor election on June 8, 2008 and June 22, 2008 (second ballot) . He took office on August 1, 2008 and replaced the incumbent Uta Rensch ( SPD ) , who was defeated in the OB election .
