Bernd Frankenberger

Bernd Frankenberger (born March 1, 1944 in Ilmenau ) is a German home historian and author .

Life

Bernd Frankenberger was born in Ilmenau in 1944 as the son of a chief accountant and accountant and a commercial clerk . He is one of two children. He is a trained book and offset printer .

Frankenberger is the author of numerous publications about the old Ilmenau and wrote several books as a local researcher. He is the editor of the Alt-Ilmenau home calendar. This appeared in the years 1998–2011 and again for the years 2016 and 2017. He sold the editions until 2011 as the owner of the Little Tannenlädchen in Ilmenau, which he ran for 19 years. He was a member and co-founder of the Ilmenau Home History Association, which also manages the works in its library. He was part of the board. In 1994 he was a co-founder of the Free Voting Association Ilmenau eV

Work in the city council

Bernd Frankenberger has been a member of the Ilmenau City Council for the Free Voting Community since 1999 , and he is parliamentary group leader .
