Bernd Gerber (born December 21, 1961 in Schifferstadt ) is a former German soccer player .

In his youth, Bernd Gerber played for FSV Schifferstadt and in 1978 switched to the A-youth of 1. FC Kaiserslautern . On March 7, 1981, he came against MSV Duisburg in the Bundesliga for the FCK professionals. In 1982/83 he was on the ball for VfR Bürstadt in the Oberliga. In 1983 he moved to VfL Bochum , for which he played four Bundesliga games and moved again after a year.

For the 1984/85 season he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga to Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin . Here he finally became a regular player and was used 63 times in the first two years. In 1986 Gerber rose to the Bundesliga with the Berliners, but after only one year it was already back in the second division.

In 1987 he moved to SpVgg Bayreuth , which also played in the 2nd division. In three years he played 59 times. Gerber made a total of 19 Bundesliga and 126 second division games (8 goals).

Since July 1st, 2011 he has been assistant trainer at FSV Schifferstadt.
