Bernd Michael Fischer (born May 21, 1939 in Karlsruhe ) is a German geriatrician.

life and career

Bernd Fischer studied medicine and received his doctorate in 1966 from Heidelberg University . In 1975 he received his habilitation at the Mannheim Clinic . From 1976 to 2002 he was chief physician at the Klausenbach rehabilitation clinic of the Baden State Insurance Institute. In 1982 he was appointed adjunct professor at the University of Heidelberg .

He is the founder of the integrative / interactive brain performance training IHT and of " brain jogging " as well as co-founder of brain jogging . He was the founder and chief physician of the memory clinic in Nordrach-Klausenbach. He is the author, co-author of more than 100 books and around 400 publications.

Fischer was a founding member of the German Society for Geriatrics and chairman of the Association of German Brain Trainers (VGD).
