Bernd Mutschler

Bernd Mutschler (born July 4, 1961 in Rastatt ) is a German lawyer.

Career

After completing his law studies at the University of Freiburg in 1987 , Mutschler passed the second state examination in 1990. From 1994 to 1996 he worked as a judge at the Social Court in Karlsruhe . From January 1997 to December 1998 he was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant .

His appointment as judge at the Regional Social Court of Baden-Württemberg in 2001 was followed by the takeover of the Vice-Presidency of the Social Court in Karlsruhe in June 2005. On June 21, 2007, after handing over the certificate of appointment by State Secretary Kajo Wasserhövel , he became judge at the Federal Social Court with effect from July 1, 2007 .

There he was first assigned to the 4th Senate, which was then responsible for statutory pension insurance. From August 2008 to the end of 2013 he was a member of the 2nd Senate responsible for statutory accident insurance. He then moved to the 11th Senate responsible for employment promotion law, to which he was a member until the end of 2017 - like the 4th Senate responsible for basic security for job seekers from January 2016 onwards. Since January 2015 Bernd Mutschler has been deputy chairman in the 11th Senate and since January 2018 also a member of the 4th and 14th Senate. Senate.

His work at the Federal Social Court ended on March 20, 2018. Bernd Mutschler was appointed President of the State Social Court of Baden-Württemberg.

Bernd Mutschler is co-editor and author of numerous commentaries and handbooks, including on the entire social security law and SGB III.
