Bernd Rauch

Bernd Dieter Rauch (born April 8, 1943 in Sinn ) was the 2nd Vice President of FC Bayern Munich from 2002 to 2012 .

The qualified architect has been a member of the association since 1979 and was a member of the administrative advisory board between 1992 and 2002. As 2nd Vice-President, Bernd Rauch was responsible for all departments that were not spun off into FC Bayern München AG, including the basketball department , which made a significant contribution to the rise of the BBL team to Rauch. At the 2012 annual general meeting, Rauch no longer stood for election as the second vice-president; his successor was the Regensburg entrepreneur Rudolf Schels . Rauch was named honorary vice president.

In addition, he has been a board member since 2001 and has been the deputy chairman of the Deutsche Sporthilfe Foundation since 2003 . Bernd Rauch was also a member of the supervisory board of Leipzig 2012 GmbH , which had applied for the 2012 Summer Olympics . After allegations of infidelity to the old application committee, he and Thomas Middelhoff became crisis manager of the newly founded Olympia GmbH on October 18, 2003 , which could not prevent Leipzig from being an applicant city.

Bernd Rauch was also involved in the construction of the Allianz Arena , first as a special representative, then until June 15, 2005 as managing director of Allianz Arena München Stadion GmbH .

On December 19, 2005, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for his commitment to promoting sport . He was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit on December 17, 2014.
