Bernd Siefert

Bernd Siefert (born January 23, 1967 in Bad Urach ) is a German master confectioner and former world champion of the confectionery trade.

Bernd Siefert, who was already helping in his parents' business at the age of six, learned his trade from Willi Pfund, head of decor at Confiserie Sprüngli in Zurich . In 1997 he was awarded the title together with Manfred Bacher at the World Championships in the confectionery trade. In addition, he was German champion six times in a row, more often than anyone before him, and finally switched to the coaching camp.

As the coach of the German national confectionery team, he has been preparing participants for the World Championships since 2004. In addition, Bernd Siefert also works as a consultant for well-known chocolate and ice cream manufacturers. He is the author of several books and is often invited to television and radio shows. In his hometown of Michelstadt in the Odenwald, he and his sister Astrid Siefert have been running the business of their parents' pastry shop Café Siefert since 2002.
