Berndt Steincke

Berndt Steincke (born March 5, 1943 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After training as an inspector in public administration, Steincke was a councilor in the Dithmarschen district . From 1974 to 2003 he was a city councilor in Heide and from 1982 to 2003 a member of the magistrate and main committee. He was also first city councilor and deputy mayor in Heide, chairman of the Heide CDU parliamentary group and from 1990 to 2003 a member of the board of the Schleswig-Holstein Association of Cities. From 1996 to 2005 he sat in the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . In 1996 he was directly elected in the Dithmarschen-Nord constituency, and in 2000 he moved in via the state list.

Steincke is the holder of the Freiherr-vom-Stein commemorative medal and the Merit Medal of the City of Heide in 1994 as well as the City Councilor of Heide. In 2008 he was awarded the Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
