Editors and authors

The Bern commentary goes back to Max Gmür , who founded the comment in 1909. The series is now being edited by Professors Regina Aebi-Müller ( University of Lucerne ) and Christoph Müller ( University of Neuchâtel ) . The authors of the individual volumes are different specialists from the respective legal areas.

Over the years, the Bern Commentary has developed into the most comprehensive commentary on Swiss private law. Volumes on the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure have now also appeared. The series is kept up to date through regular new editions and supplementary volumes.
