Adam Soffer (born August 28, 1987 ) is a New Zealand ice hockey player who has played for the Southern Stampede in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League since 2017 .

Career

Adam Soffer began his career as an ice hockey player in the junior division of the Canterbury Red Devils . When the New Zealand Ice Hockey League was founded in 2005, he was accepted into the semi-professional team of the Christchurch club , with which he was New Zealand champion in 2009. After the playing time in 2012 at Botany Swarm from Auckland had spent, he took a five-year break. Since 2017 he has been playing for the Southern Stampede again in the NZIHL and was able to achieve his second championship title with the club from Queenstown in his comeback season.

International

In the junior division Soffer was on the ice for New Zealand at the U18 World Championships in 2004 and 2005 in Division III.

With the men's national team , the striker took part in the World Championships of Division II in 2008 , 2010 and 2017 . After relegation in 2008, he played at the 2009 World Cup in Division III, where, as the best player in his team, he made a significant contribution to the immediate resurgence.
