Bernhard Ellend
Bernhard Ellend (born December 12, 1869 in Gösting , † July 27, 1950 in Vienna ) was an Austrian manufacturer and politician ( CSP ).
Working life
He learned the trade of glazier and passed the master's examination in 1893. He continuously expanded his glass factory in Vienna and in 1921 he also founded a glass factory in Ratten .
politics
Ellend joined Karl Lueger and the Christian Socials early on. He was District Councilor of Vienna / Neubau in 1902 and a member of the City Council of Vienna in 1910. He was a member of the National Council for the CSP in the fourth legislative period from December 2, 1930 to May 2, 1934. In 1945, he became mayor of Pöggstall where he lived from 1938 to 1944. He was also President of the Vienna Cooperative Association.
