Bernhard Helbig

Emil Bernhard Helbig ( June 20, 1854 in Dresden - June 30, 1900 there ) was a German child actor , ballet dancer and theater actor .

Life

At the age of eight, Helbig entered the ballet school of the Royal Court Theater in Dresden. At that time he was already being used as a dancer and performer in ballets, great operas, antics and sets.

On February 1, 1869 he was hired as a dancer and on September 1, 1870 as a ballet stage manager (and finally got a monthly fee). He kept both positions for nine years and during this time he appeared in the ballet as “Wilfried” in Gisella , as “Kuno (Jäger)” in Die Jeaersucht , in Der Küchenmeister Hummer , as “Frau Walter” in The Hopping Suitor .

In the last two years as a dancer he tried his hand at small speaking roles, and since he was successful, he was given second lover roles from October 1, 1878, after making his debut as "Rudenz" in Wilhelm Tell on October 2 involved. He stayed in Dresden until at least 1887.
