Bernhard Holz (born December 14, 1964 in Stuttgart ) is a former racing driver .

life and career

Holz began his career as a racing driver with motocross and kart races . In 1989 he drove two circuit races at the Hockenheimring in a BMW 325i built for Group A. In the same year he entered the DTM and contested two races there on the Hockenheim Grand Prix circuit.

In 1990 and 1991 Holz competed in the Veedol long-distance cup on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife and competed in all races on a Group H BMW. In the last race in 1991, he and Franz Dufter celebrated overall victory in a BMW M3, setting a new lap record for DTM vehicles.

In 1996 he drove a Ferrari F40 in the FIA GT forerunner series BPR on the Grand Prix circuit of the Nürburgring , which he had to give up prematurely. In 1998 and 1999 he drove all rounds of the Lamborghini Trophy with a Diablo SVR . In the two years Holz achieved four podium places, in which he won the first race in Spa-Francorchamps in 1998.
