Bernhard Kaiser

Bernhard Kaiser (* 1954 in Marburg ) is a Protestant theologian and university professor .

Career

Kaiser studied from 1972 to 1977 at the Free Evangelical Theological Academy (FETA) Basel (now: State- independent Theological University Basel ). In 1988 he received his PhD from Stellenbosch University (South Africa). Th. With a thesis on Martin Luther and his lecture on the letter to the Romans . In 2007 he completed his habilitation at the Károli Gáspár Reformed University in Budapest (Hungary).

From 1978 to 1983 he was pastor of the Lutheran Church in Chile . From 1985 to 2000 he was a lecturer in systematic theology, history of dogma and philosophy at the Free Theological Academy (now: Free Theological University of Giessen ). As co-founder and rector of the Academy for Reformation Theology in Marburg, he was a lecturer there from 2000 to 2005 for systematic theology, church and philosophy history. In 2006 he founded the Institute for Reformation Theology, of which he is the managing director. In the same year he took up his position as a professor for systematic theology at the Selye János University in Komárno .
