Bernhard Kurt Roch (also Bernhard Curt Roch ; born August 31, 1847 in Dresden ; † December 2, 1922 there ) was a German sculptor .
Life
Bernhard Kurt Roch studied at the Dresden Art Academy and was a student with Robert Diez . He then worked freelance in Dresden, and in 1890 the sculptor Peter Pöppelmann joined his studio. Roch also made numerous small bronze sculptures.
In 1895 Roch made the ceiling relief and several baroque sculptures of the English staircase , the stairwell of the vestibule of the Dresden residential palace , which was reconstructed from 2008 to 2011 by the Dresden sculptor Stefan Dürre .

- Altarpiece, a representation of Christ made of French sandstone for the Gröditz church
- Models for the altar, pulpit, baptism and lectern, later executed by the wood carving company Johannes Ludwig, for the Luther Church in Radebeul
- 1895: Ceiling relief and four groups of candelabra as symbols of the four continents for the English Staircase, the stairwell of the vestibule of the Dresden Residenzschloss
