Bernhard Marx (born April 21, 1919 ) is a former German football player .

Career

Marx began his career at VfL Geseke , for whom he played until 1938. He then moved to Arminia Bielefeld , who was promoted to the then first-class Gauliga Westfalen in the same year . The sporting highlight was the 1939/40 season , in which the Armines were runner-up behind the series champions FC Schalke 04 . After the end of the war , Marx and the Bielefeld team became Westphalian champions in 1949 and made it to the first-class Oberliga West . In the 1949/50 season , Marx completed 19 league games for Arminia and scored one goal. After the team had to relegate at the end of the season, Marx ended his career.
