Bernhard Meuser (politician)

Bernhard Meuser (born October 3, 1883 in Witten ; † October 22, 1949 ) was a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Meuser was employed by the railroad. Until 1942 he was Reichsbahnsekretär and then until 1945 Reichsbahninspektor at the Reichsbahndirektion in Wuppertal .

Meuser was initially politically active in the nationalist camp. From 1906 to 1933 he was a member of the Reichskolonialbund and from 1904 to 1945 a member of the Reichskriegsbund . From 1904 he was also a member of the Red Cross . He belonged to the DNVP and was district chairman of this party until 1929.

After 1945 Meuser joined the CDU . In 1946 he was a member of the Provincial Council of Westphalia and in 1946 and 1947 a member of the appointed Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia .
