Bernhard Rösch (born February 3, 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) . Rösch has been parliamentary group chairman, state and federal chairman of the freedom workers since 2008. From 2010 to 2015 he was a member of the Vienna City Council and State Parliament . Since November 24, 2015, he has been a member of the Austrian Federal Council delegated by the Vienna State Parliament . Rösch is a member of the German national Viennese academic fraternity Gothia .

Career

Bernhard Rösch completed his Matura as a mechanical engineer in Waidhofen / Ybbs in 1985 and began studying economics and law at the University of Vienna in 1986 . In 1987 he started to work for an insurance company in the field service ( Vienna ) and was elected to the Vienna works council in 1988 .

In 1990 Rösch became district councilor in Vienna-Neubau (until today) and four years later he joined the Freedom Workers. There he became a chamber councilor and member of the board of the Vienna Chamber of Labor in 1995 (until today). In 1996 he was elected to the central works council and European works council for approx. 800 employees and one year later he was appointed to the federal executive committee of the freedom workers. In 1998 he became a board member of the Vienna Regional Health Insurance Fund and the following year GPA Vienna parliamentary group leader.

In 2002 he became a member of the general assembly of the Vienna Regional Health Insurance Fund and in 2004 he took over the parliamentary group chairmanship of the freedom workers. In 2005 he accepted the advisory board for employees for the Federal FPÖ and graduated from the works council academy. Bernhard Rösch has been regional chairman of the Freedom Workers Vienna and a member of the board of the Freedom Party Regional Group Vienna since 2006 . He was also appointed to the General Assembly of the Federal Chamber of Labor. Rösch has been parliamentary group chairman, state and federal chairman of the freedom workers since 2008.
