Bernhard Render (born October 7, 1894 in Alstätte , Ahaus district ; † February 22, 1985 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1950 to 1954 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After elementary school , Bernhard Render attended grammar school and graduated from high school. He then studied philology for two semesters , then started working as a farmer .

Render was a member of the Ahaus district council from 1920 to 1924 and a community and official representative in Alstätte from 1919 to 1933. From 1946 he became mayor of Alstätte. Render was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 79 (Ahaus) in the second electoral term; he was a member of the parliament from July 5, 1950 to July 4, 1954.

At a rifle festival in Alstätte on June 18, 1951, there was a dispute between members of the rifle club and the operator of a sausage stand. Render was present at the festival as the mayor and rifle major, and he was believed to be incidental to the incident by the sausage seller. As a result, the public prosecutor's office in Münster initiated proceedings to lift his immunity as a member of parliament, but this was rejected by the state parliament.
