Bernhard Schaffeld

Bernhard Ferdinand Schaffeld (born January 27, 1851 in Erfurt , † August 24, 1924 in Leipzig ) was a German judge .

Life

After graduating from the Royal High School in Erfurt in 1868 , he studied law in Leipzig and Berlin. In 1872 he was sworn in to the Prussian sovereign. In 1878 he became a district judge and in 1879 a district judge. In 1881 he was appointed district judge and transferred from Sommerfeld to Beuthen . In 1891 he was appointed regional judge and in 1893 higher regional judge. In 1902 he came to the Reichsgericht from Frankfurt . He was in the VI. Civil Senate active. He was retired in December 1923.

In the Reichsgerichtsrätekommentar ("The civil code with special consideration of the case law of the Reichsgericht" 1st edition 1910) he commented on §§ 607–619, 662–687, 765–792, 809–811, 823–853 BGB.
