Bernhard Wuermeling (politician, 1821)

Bernhard Wuermeling (born July 16, 1821 in Münster , † March 10, 1868 in Schwetz in West Prussia ) was a German lawyer and parliamentarian.

Life

After attending grammar school in Münster, Bernhard Wuermeling studied law at the universities of Bonn and Greifswald from 1839 to 1842 . In 1841 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Bonn . In 1842 he joined the Corps Guestfalia Greifswald . After completing his studies, he started out as a judge. He was a higher regional court assessor in Münster and Konitz before he became a district judge in Schwetz. There he settled as a lawyer in 1860.

From 1859 to 1861 Wuermeling sat as a member of the constituency Marienwerder 2 in the Prussian House of Representatives . In 1859 he belonged to the Catholic faction and then to the faction of the center.

Bernhard Wuermeling , President of the Province of Westphalia, was his son.
