Lothar Robert Hansen (* 1983 in Berlin ), known by the stage name Lot , is a German pop singer with Turkish roots who is under contract with the independent label Department Music .

biography

Lothar Hansen spent his childhood in his native Berlin. He learned to play the piano at the age of six and began writing his own music as a teenager. From the age of 14 he lived with his sister in Mühlhausen / Thuringia. After school he began studying music, which he never finished. Instead, he played the piano in various music groups from classical to jazz to hip-hop. He also started a solo career and was hired for the opening act for Bosse , Dick Brave , Flo Mega and the Plain White T’s , among others . In 2014, the musician , who now lives in Leipzig , signed the Chimperator Department label . In September he released his first four-song EP entitled Why should that change . His debut album, named after the completion time of 200 days, was released in April of the following year and entered the German album charts at number 100 . In August 2019, he announced his third album Nosebleeds .
