Bernt Heineman

Bernt Heineman , also Bernardus Heineman (* in Lübeck ; † November 13, 1532 there ) was Council Secretary of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck.

Life

Bernt Heineman was the son of the Lübeck goldsmith of the same name, who was also the city's mint master from 1502 to 1514 . He enrolled at the University of Rostock around Easter 1499 and completed his studies with a licentiate in both rights. On April 10, 1510 he was appointed council secretary in Lübeck and on the same day in the council chair between the other council secretaries Hartwich Brekewoldt , Henning Osthusen and Johannes Rode . From 1517 he was responsible for keeping the Lübeck Upper Town Register ( land register ). First as deputy protonotary and from August 13, 1519 to the beginning of September 1532 as protonotary of the city.
