Bert Doorn

Bert Doorn (born May 26, 1949 in Enschede ) is a Dutch politician of the Christian Democratic Appèl party .

From 1968 to 1974 Bert Doorn studied law in Groningen , Nancy and Freiburg . From 1976 to 1978 he worked on his doctorate in competition law in Freiburg. This was followed by a position as secretary for international affairs from 1978 to 1992 and from 1992 to 1997 as secretary for commercial law at the Association of Dutch Enterprises (VNO). From 1997 to 1999 he worked for the Dutch Christian Employers' Association (VNO-NCW) as a business lawyer and in various jobs.

Since 1999 he has been a member of the European Parliament for the Netherlands and a member of the European People's Party . There he sits on the legal committee and is a member of the delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
