The Bertalan Peak is a 2320 m high mountain in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Victory Mountains, it rises on the northwest side of the head end of the Montecchi Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using the United States Navy's own measurements and aerial photographs from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain after Robert E. Bertalan (1935–2000), chief machinist on the McMurdo- Station in 1967.
