Berthold Rzany

Berthold Josef Rzany (born April 7, 1961 ) is a German dermatologist .

Life

Berthold Rzany studied human medicine from 1980 to 1986 at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the University of Vienna . In 1987 he received his doctorate with magna cum laude on the passive immunization of patients allergic to bee venom in Freiburg, and from 1987 to 1988 he was a staff and battalion doctor in the Bundeswehr . From 1988 he was an assistant doctor at the University Dermatology Clinic in Freiburg, where he became a specialist in dermatology in 1992 . In 1996 he acquired the additional qualification in allergology . He received his Master of Science degree in 1996 after two years of postgraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University . In the same year he became senior physician at the University Dermatology Clinic in Mannheim. In 1998 he completed his habilitation at the Faculty of Clinical Medicine Mannheim at the University of Heidelberg. From 2002 to 2011 he was Professor of Evidence-Based Medicine in Dermatology at the Charité . Since 2012 he has been working in a group practice for dermatology and aesthetic medicine in Berlin. He is still associated with the Charité as a visiting professor.
