Berthold Dietz (born January 20, 1935 in Zwickau ) is a German sculptor .

Life

His training as a stonemason and sculptor took place between 1949 and 1954. From 1952 to 1955 he attended the painting and drawing school in Zwickau, then from 1955 to 1960 he studied sculpture at the Dresden University of Fine Arts . He has been living freelance in Lichtentanne since 1960 . Several study trips took him abroad.

He has been the head of the Lichtentanne plastic circle since 1964 . He was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR from 1964 to 1990, and since 1990 of the Federal Association of Visual Artists and of the Chemnitz Artists' Association.
