Bertram von Holtzendorf (also Holtzendorp ; † before June 2, 1451 ) was provost of the Brandenburg cathedral , canon and prior .

Live and act

Bertram von Holtzendorf came from the old noble family Holzendorf . In 1422 he can be verified as a student in Leipzig . Subsequently he was canon in Brandenburg, later prior. After October 5, 1447 he was provost in Brandenburg. The day of his death was before June 2, 1451, as his successor, later Bishop Dietrich von Stechow , was elected on this day .

After his death, Bertram von Holtzendorf was buried in the middle of the main nave of the cathedral. His grave slab was later placed on the west wall of the north transept . The grave stone with carved drawing shows Bertram of Holtz village with a chalice in his left and two fingers stretched his right hand.
