Bertrand Dorny

Bertrand Dorny (born July 2, 1931 in Paris ; † June 19, 2015 there ) was a French artist.

life and work

From 1948 on Dorny learned in the studios of Othon Friesz , André Lhote and Johnny Friedlaender . Until 1990 Dorny created numerous works, mostly as aquatints. From 1975 to 1979 he taught at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Dorny stated u. a. at the Musee d'Art Moderne (Paris), Chicago Art Institute, Victoria and Albert Museum (London), Yale University Art Gallery, Boston Museum of Fine Arts and Center National d'Art Contemporain (Paris).
