employment

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The concept of employment has different meanings in colloquial language and in law ; in the broadest sense it means that someone is busy with a thing .

Employment is understood in the social security law in Germany to mean an activity in the context of dependent work .

Social law

In Section 7 (1), fourth book of the Social Security Code , it says in the form of a legal definition : “Employment is salaried work , especially in an employment relationship . Clues for employment are an activity according to instructions and an integration into the work organization of the instructor. "

Employed and unemployed

A key component of employment is therefore the dependency on instructions. An activity can therefore be considered employment even if it is not paid. This does not include self-employment such as freelance professions .

The generic term for employment is gainful employment . Both terms are often equated.

Employment in leisure time

Leisure time is activity outside of work or school hours. Successful experiences, creativity , joy , tension , sport or the acquisition of knowledge not only help to rebuild mental and physical strength, but also give joy and strength to cope with everyday life. The goal of activity in leisure time is to achieve inner satisfaction, for example by actively spending free time. Leisure activities are not compulsory, which means that the beginning and end can often be freely chosen. Build-up aggression and functional states of excitement can be reduced in leisure time through meaningful activities such as sports, games or targeted relaxation exercises . If there is a lack of fulfilling leisure activity, boredom is experienced. Preferred leisure activities are referred to as a hobby.
