The Sandezer Beskids ( Polish Beskid Sądecki , formerly Beskid Nadpopradzki , Slovak Ľubovnianska vrchovina ) are a mountain range of the West Beskids in Poland .
geography
The mountain range lies in Poland between Dunajec in the west and Kamienica Nawojowska, Mochnaczka, Muszynka and the Tylicka pass in the east. To the north, the Sandezer Beskids merge into the Kotlina Sądecka ( Sandezer Basin ). The southern part in Slovakia is called Ľubovnianska vrchovina .
The Sandets Beskids can be divided into three mountain ridges:
- in the west the Jaworzyna ridge with Jaworzyna Krynicka (1114 m) and Wielka Bukowa (1104 m), separated from the Radziejowa ridge by Poprad ;
- in the east and north of the Radziejowa ridge with Radziejowa (1262 m), separated by the Muszyna river from the Leluchow mountains
- Leluchow Mountains (Góry Leluchowskie) with Kraczonik (936 m) and Dubne (885 m).
Protected areas
The Sandez landscape protection park was founded in 1987 and has an area of 542.12 km².
