Ľubovnianska vrchovina

The Ľubovnianska vrchovina (German: Lublauer Gebirge ) is a mountain range named after the town of Stará Ľubovňa in northeast Slovakia in the Okres Stará Ľubovňa . It is part of the Beskydy Mountains and the Outer Western Carpathians . Its northern section is on or across the border with Poland . There the parts of the mountains located on their own territory are usually assigned to the Beskid Sądecki ( Sandezer Beskids ).
The mountains are limited
- in the north of the Beskid Sądecki ,
- in the east of the Ondavská vrchovina ,
- in the south of Čergov and from Spišsko-šarišské medzihorie ,
- to the west of the Pieniny .
The main ridge of the approximately 40 kilometers long and 15 kilometers wide mountains runs in a west-east direction and is broken by the Poprad River . The highest peak is Eliašovka with 1023 meters.
The mountainous area, which is mainly used for pasture and forestry, has little development for tourism.
