Hraničné (Slovak until 1948 "Granastov"; German border village or Granasdorf , Hungarian Határhely - until 1907 Granasztó ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia .
location
It is located in the Ľubovnianska vrchovina Mountains, on the banks of the Hraničná brook , between the towns of Stará Ľubovňa (11 km south) and Piwniczna-Zdrój in Poland (8 km north; the border is 5 km away).
history
The place was first mentioned as Granaszto in 1342 . The Roman Catholic wooden church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary from 1785 is worth seeing.
