Vislanka (until 1927 Slovak "Pusté Pole" or "Vyslanka"; Hungarian Pusztamező ) is a municipality in northeastern Slovakia with 258 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019), which belongs to the Okres Stará Ľubovňa , part of the Prešovský kraj .
geography
The community is located on the northeastern slope of the Leutschauer Berge on the Vislanka brook , which flows into the Ľubotínka at the lower end of the village . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 542 m nm and is 22 kilometers by road from Stará Ľubovňa .
Neighboring municipalities are Ďurková in the north, Ľubotín in the east, Krivany and Oľšov in the south and Bajerovce in the west.
history
The area belonged to the rulership of Torysa , later the Gombos and Kellemesy families . Vislanka was first mentioned in writing in 1773 as Wizranka or Puszta-Mező . In 1789 the village had 30 houses and 180 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 55 houses and 413 inhabitants who were employed as farmers and cattle herders.
The place in Sáros County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary until 1918 and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.
population
According to the 2011 census, there were 251 residents in Vislanka, including 228 Slovaks , 15 Russians , two Czechs and one Pole . Five residents gave no information about their ethnicity .
214 inhabitants supported the Greek Catholic Church, 29 inhabitants joined the Roman Catholic Church and two inhabitants joined the Evangelical Church AB. One inhabitant was without a denomination and with five inhabitants the denomination was not determined.
