Lacková (German Latzenseifen , Hungarian Lackvágása - until 1907 Lackova ) is a municipality in the northeastern Slovakia with 159 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Stará Ľubovňa of, part kraj Prešovský heard and the traditional landscape Zips is counted .
geography
The municipality is located on the eastern slope of the Spis Magura , not far from the Poprad River . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 576 m nm and is eight and a half kilometers from Stará Ľubovňa .
Neighboring communities are Kamienka in the north and northeast, Hniezdne in the east, Forbasy and Nižné Ružbachy in the south and Vyšné Ružbachy in the west.
history
The place was mentioned for the first time in 1408 as Laczenhaw or Laczenseif as part of the estate of the city of Pudlein . From 1412 to 1772 Lacková was pledged to Poland by the Kingdom of Hungary. In the 16th century the village was devastated and was repopulated by nine free farmers in 1562–63. In 1828 there were 45 houses and 337 inhabitants, who were mainly employed as farmers.
Until 1918 the place in Zips County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, there were 160 inhabitants in Lacková, all of them Slovaks .
153 residents professed to the Roman Catholic Church, three residents to the Jehovah's Witnesses and one resident to the Greek Catholic Church. The denomination was not determined for three residents.
