The Zipser Magura (Slovak Spišská Magura , Polish Magura Spiska ) is a predominantly wooded mountain range in eastern Slovakia and southeastern Poland and represents a relatively low intermediate section of the Carpathian main ridge . It is named after the region of Spiš , in which it lies on both sides of the border.

The mountains are located north of the Belianske Tatry (Slovak Belianske Tatry ), south of the Pieninen and west of the Pogórze Bukowińskie in the mountain range of the Pogórze Spisko-Gubałowskie , specifically its eastern part Pogórze spiskie . It has the character of a low mountain range . Geomorphologically, it can be divided into two parts, Repisko (Polish Rzepisko , German Reps ) in the southwest and Veterný vrch (German Cold Pile ) in the north. The highest point is at 1259 m. above sea level represents the Repisko . On the Polish side, the highest mountain is the Kuraszowski Wierch with 1040 m. ASL The relatively isolated Spiš Magura is, in contrast to the other mountain ranges of the Pogórze Spisko-Gubałowskie, very sparsely populated.

On the Slovak side, parts of the Zipser Magura are part of the Tatra National Park . On the Polish side, some areas are protected as nature reserves, for example in the Niebieska Dolina nature reserve .
